Information:
Atena - The sea cruiser Atena was one of a new generation of contest sailboats who have been built after the war with Gotland Runt's increasing popularity as a driving force. Atena reached its greatest success in Gotland Around 1957, when she became second in her class.

The boat was designed by the manufacturer Paul Rönnqvist in Vingåker with the help of the company's draftsman. It became a lavishly large and modern sailing yacht with standing height in the salon, mahogany on expanses and bronze Wry. The Atena has a distinct and straight line "egg shape" and is almost pointed with very narrow hedge. The boat was built at Schelins in Kungsör and the manufacturer Rönnqvist was probably not entirely unaffected by Schelin's business partners at this time, Knud Reimers. From the beginning, the freeboard and ruffle roof were painted in a special shade that the family called "Atenablå".

Atena's first home port was Läppe at Hjälmaren, where she got her own boathouse that still belongs to the family. The boat was taken over by the son PO Rönnkvist and was then owned by another family in the family. From the end of the 70's and 30 years ahead, the boat had different owners who handled her well and Atena is therefore in excellent condition. Most of it is original, but with a new electrical system, spike motor, holding tank, she is a modern classic and comfortable for three people. The teak deck, ruffle and cockpit mahogany surfaces have been treated with Coelan.

In 2008, Atena made a comeback in Gotland Runt's "Antique Round". After a very nice start, Atena ended up far behind the larger and faster boats and then got stuck in a silence belt outside Huvudskär. On the way down towards Savorev, it blew up and the greatness began to be pulled out of the boom and the woodwork followed. A quick decision was taken with a new course directly on Landsort and Trosa, which is supposed to have looked quite strange on KSSS monitors.

Atena has made several long trips starting in 2007 to Helsinki and Tallinn. Five years later, it was time for a new Finland tour and culminated with the victory in Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte Baltic Classic Master Cup Helsinki 2012. The following year, Atena became third in Trosa Arkö Classic after 95: Oral Kerma and La Morena. In 2016, she participated in the Sandhamns Regatta Classic and in the Crab Run.
