Invitation
We are glad to invite you for sailing and racing in the
7th Nation's Cup for Classic Yachts 2004
19th - 21st of August 2004 at Kiel Laboe / Germany

The Cup is dedicated to the memory of Henry Rasmussen, the man, who as sailor, designer and yacht-builder set an example for the international aspect of yachting in his days.

The Nation's Cup will be embedded in the 16th "Klassiker Regatten Laboe", obviously an important and exciting event for classic yachts in Northern Europe. For years we have up to 200 yachts in the starting line.

Each Classic Yacht Association will be invited to put up teams of three yachts so that two short races on the Friday at 12:00 and 15:00 as well as one in the middle of the Veteran Regatta can be sailed for the Nation's Cup.

Associations which are in a position to send regatta crews but cannot bring any or enough yachts to Laboe may still be able to take part if arrangements are made early enough. We are in touch with German owners of Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, British, Dutch and other yachts who are ready to join with visitors from these countries so that a team from each country can have a start.

We are looking forward very much to have a good time and good racing all together, for we are united by loving our classic yachts and by the intention to keep and to show them.

Due to the high number of 5 entries in the 12 mR-class 1999 (more than ever before in the Firth of Kiel), we spontaneous decided to sail a 12 mR-Cup, which was great fun and finally won by „Flica II“.
In 2000 and 2001 we had a 6 mR-Cup, which was won by „Aida“ and "Lady Day".
Depending on the number of entries we hope again to have an extra „special cup“ beside the Nation´s Cup for 6 metres.
